Gardeners
and plant enthusiasts alike enjoy New Hope's "Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve"
(see our Links page) at all times of
the year. In mid-September, the Tohicon Garden Club holds its annual
standard "Tohickon Flower Show" in conjunction with the "Bucks County Antiques
Show." Also in September is the much celebrated "Heronswood Fall Planting
Open" at the private Fordhork Farm. Many plants for sale are from
Heronswood's private library of unusual and treasured species, as well as
uncommon gathered-in-the-wild plants not available to the general public as well
as not-yet-released Heronswood - bred hellebores. Of course, the grand
indoor "Philadelphia Flower Show" is held every year in March. "Longwood
Gardens" is another premier destination in the region. Make your
Reservations now.
